Star Wars Reads - DK Books/Lucasfilm events

This weekend, Great Lakes Base (and Rebel Legion, 501st and Mando Mercs across the country) will team up to celebrate reading with "Star Wars Reads." Partnering with DK Books and Lucasfilm, you'll be able to see Star Wars characters at the following locations:

Brunswick Library (Brunswick) 6-8pm

Barnes and Noble (Crocker Park) noon-2pm
Barnes and Nobel (Polaris Mall) 2-4pm
Books A Million (Cuyahoga Falls) 2-4pm

Stephen Hayford Star Wars Weekends Exclusive Art
Official Star Wars artist Stephen Hayford will be attending Disney's Star Wars Weekends at Hollywood Studios during the 2nd and 3rd weekends (May 23-26 & May 31-June 2) and he will have four exclusive art prints available along with an interactive Death Star Diorama. You can find him in Darth's Mall with all the other exclusive event merchandise for 2 hours each day. The prints will be offered all four weekends. Be sure to stop by and say hello to Stephen during your trip to the park!

Hello… To All Members, this is your Great Lakes Base WebMaster “ZOD” and I am letting everyone know that I have been very busy with duties on the 501st forums and now have some help here on the GLB, Harry Pauley (Yes, Brian Pauley’s Father) is now on the boards to help me with upgrades and changes to the look and feel for a new GLB. There will be changes coming up in the next few months to upgrade the forums to better suit us all. If things are not working please let me know. First thing we will be doing is changing the pictures on the front page, so if you have good images of you in your costume and would like them on the front page then send them with your user name and real name to me at: rc7759@yahoo.com.

"All Wings Report In!" from Mansfield, Ohio - where the local library was transformed into the Jedi Temple archives.

Meanwhile, the Michigan members had a BUSY weekend where they joined the USA Hockey National Development Team in supporting a local children's hospital... plus found time to march in a St. Patrick's Day tradition!
